We really wanted a little one. In the Netherlands we ran into IVF/ICSI waiting lists. This caused us quite a bit of stress... When we came across the Human First site by chance, we were skeptical at first. Do those stories even check out, what's the quality like, and so on. We read a lot and discovered that the quality of medical care in Turkey was really good. So we took the step. We never went any further with treatment in the Netherlands after that. So we've actually never had a treatment here at all.
The experience at the hospital in Turkey was exceptionally good. Beautiful hospital, very kind staff and good guidance. Dr. Cem was amazing. The calm and the patience he had. The time he took for us to answer all our questions. Just superb. We even got his mobile number, which we could call or text him on, both in Turkey and afterwards in the Netherlands too. The whole IVF team was very involved and friendly.
The hormone treatment was intense. Jennie reacted strongly to this treatment. In the end 20 follicles grew. From these came 17 eggs. All of these were fertilized by means of ICSI. 12 embryos remained, of which the three best were transferred back three days later. The rest weren't good enough to be frozen.
Then the waiting began. This too is really tough. 15 days after the egg retrieval we had a positive test. So the very first attempt worked right away!
Our experience with Human First, and the treatment in Turkey too, is exceptionally positive. Loads of people have gotten enthusiastic because of our experience. People mostly find the whole thing quite remarkable. People around us who are going through treatments in the Netherlands, we advise to think about Turkey. Doctors also find it very interesting, but we do sometimes notice a certain reluctance towards fertility treatments abroad. We get the impression that they close themselves off to it somewhat and aren't as far along with the techniques as they are in Turkey. My health insurer, Trias, responded positively. I've also referred them, as well as the GP, the gynecologist, and the hospital's maternity ward, to your site.
By now we're the proud parents of a girl. We're therefore especially grateful to Human First and the IVF team in Turkey. We also kept the hostesses who guided us in Turkey and Dr. Cem informed about the progress of the pregnancy and the birth of our daughter. We also sent a birth announcement card to Turkey, and I hope it arrived safely.
